The idea of creating a national institute for research in basic and applied immunology was conceived in the early eighties when immunology was identified as a priority area by the Science & Engineering Research Council (SERC) wing of the Department of Science and Technology (DST).

Educational Requirements ( शैक्षिक आवश्यकता ) :
M.Sc in any branch of Biology/Life Sciences with minimum of two years of research experience. The candidates should have qualified any ‘National Level Examination’, as per DST OM dated 21.10.2014.
Job Responsibilities / Description ( उत्तरदायित्व) :
The project is aimed at understanding the role of various cellular and molecular factors that modulate the generation and maintenance of T cell -and B cell-memory. The candidate should have theoretical and practical experience in immunology is required

Ph.D in any discipline of Biological Sciences.
Job Responsibilities / Description ( उत्तरदायित्व) :
The project involves analysis of RNA, gDNA and chromatin structure/organization in mice.
The candidate must have an experience in molecular biology with special expertise in chromatin analysis. Additional experience in cell biology and bioinformatics will be useful.
