Vasantdada Sugar Institute (VSI) formerly known as Deccan Sugar Institute, is an autonomous body which is a society registered under the Societies Registration Act, 1860 and under the Bombay Public Trusts Act, 1950.
Established in the year 1975 by the sugarcane grower members of cooperative sugar factories in the State of Maharashtra, it is the only organisation of its kind in the world. The Institute performs, under one umbrella, all scientific technical and educational functions relevant to the sugar industry. The Institute strives for an all round progress of the sugar industry and to achieve this objective, it operates through three main channels viz., Academic, Extension and Research & Development.

Pay scale ( वेतन ) : Starting salary is Rs.34000/- per month.
Educational requirements ( शैक्षिक आवश्यकता ) : Graduate with certificates of Marathi Shorthand 80 w.p.m. & English Stenography 100 w.p.m. and Marathi Typing 40 w.p.m. and English Typing 50 w.p.m. speed.
• Well versed with MS Word, MS Excel & Powerpoint presentation.
• Candidate must be fluent in Marathi & English language.
Experience requirements ( अनुभव ) : Minimum 5 years experience as Stenographer (Marathi & English) in reputed organization/company.
Job responsibilities / description ( उत्तरदायित्व) :Taking dictations in Marathi and English and typing them viz. letters, reports, notes, articles, minutes of meting etc. Candidate should know all types of clerical works, computer, e-mail correspondence, internet etc.
